JUMO dTRANS T100 Screw-in RTD Temperature Probe
dTRANS T100
The JUMO dTRANS T100 is a compact screw-in RTD temperature probe designed for reliable temperature measurement in liquids and gases across industrial and hygienic environments. Featuring an optional integrated 4 to 20 mA programmable two-wire transmitter, it covers measuring ranges from -50 to +260 °C with high accuracy and fast response times.
Flexible Temperature Ranges & High Precision Sensing
Equipped with premium Pt100 or Pt1000 temperature sensors conforming to DIN EN 60751 (Class A, B, or AA), the probe supports two-wire or four-wire circuits. When used without an internal transmitter, it covers medium temperatures from -50 to +200 °C. Models configured with the programmable two-wire transmitter operate from -50 to +150 °C, which can be expanded up to +260 °C using an optional extension tube to protect electronic components from ambient heat above 85 °C.
Programmable 4-20mA Transmitter & Setup Communication
The integrated two-wire transmitter converts the RTD resistance signal into a linearized 4 to 20 mA output (or 20 to 4 mA). Using a PC setup program connected via a USB interface cable, operators can easily configure parameters such as measuring range, TAG number, fine adjustment, input filtering (0 to 125 s), and sensor fault signalization (NAMUR NE 43 compliant).
Robust Stainless Steel Construction & Hygienic Process Options
Constructed from high-grade stainless steel 316L (1.4404 / 1.4435) or 316Ti (1.4571), the protection tube guarantees long-term chemical and corrosion resistance. The dTRANS T100 offers a vast range of process connections—from standard G 3/8 and G 1/2 threads to CIP-compliant conical seals, PEEK seals, Clamp DIN 32676, VARIVENT, and JUMO PEKA hygienic connection systems (with wetted surfaces electropolished up to Ra ≤ 0.8 µm).
Applications
The JUMO dTRANS T100 screw-in RTD temperature probe is widely used across various industries:
-

FAQ
Q1: What is the benefit of adding an extension tube to the JUMO dTRANS T100?
A: The extension tube (Basic type 902815/21) isolates the electronic transmitter housing from high process heat, allowing the probe to measure medium temperatures up to +260 °C while keeping the ambient transmitter temperature below its maximum threshold of 85 °C.
Q2: How is the 4-20mA output range configured on the dTRANS T100?
A: The measuring range, offset, unit (°C/°F), input filter constant, and NAMUR fault signals can be easily configured using a PC setup program connected via a dedicated USB configuration cable and M12 adapter.
Q3: Is the dTRANS T100 suitable for hygienic and CIP cleaning environments?
A: Yes. The probe offers multiple CIP-compliant process options, including PEEK seals, Clamp sockets (DIN 32676), VARIVENT connections, and JUMO PEKA hygienic fittings with electropolished surfaces (Ra ≤ 0.8 µm).
Q4: Can the sensor detect probe breaks or short circuits?
A: Yes. When configured with the internal transmitter, measuring circuit monitoring continuously checks sensor integrity and signals probe breaks or short circuits via configurable low (≤ 3.6 mA) or high (≥ 21.0 mA) current states.
