Q1: What is the minimum conductivity required for this electromagnetic flowmeter to operate?
A: The fluid must have a minimum electrical conductivity of ≥ 5 μS/cm (or ≥ 20 μS/cm for demineralized/demineralized water). It is suitable for most water-based liquids, acids, alkalis, and conductive slurries, but cannot measure oil, gas, or pure water/RO water with zero conductivity.

Q2: What straight pipe length is required for installation?
A: For optimal measurement precision, we recommend a straight pipe run of 5D upstream (5 times the pipe diameter) and 2D downstream from the flowmeter sensor. If placed after valves or elbows, additional straight length may be required.
Q3: Can the sensor be buried underground or submerged in water?
A: Yes. With the IP68 protection rating and appropriate cable sealing options, the sensor can be directly buried underground or continuously submerged in water without compromising performance.
