Process data checklist before instrument selection
A practical buying guide for preparing the operating data needed before a product recommendation.
Describe the measured medium
State whether the medium is liquid, gas, steam or slurry. Add conductivity, viscosity, solids, corrosiveness and hygiene constraints where relevant.
Define the operating window
Provide minimum, normal and maximum flow together with pressure and temperature. Pipe diameter alone is not enough for selection.
Confirm installation and signal requirements
Include pipe material, connection standard, available straight run, power supply, display and communication requirements.
