Start with the medium
State whether the process fluid is a liquid, gas, steam or slurry. Add conductivity, viscosity, solids, corrosiveness and hygiene requirements where relevant.
Define the operating window
Provide normal, minimum and maximum flow together with operating pressure and temperature. Avoid selecting only from the pipe diameter.
Confirm installation and output
Include pipe material, straight-run availability, connection standard, power supply, display requirement and output or communication protocol.
